I just saw Scream 4 today, and I loved it.
This film may not be on the same greatness level as the first 2 Scream films, but this film was just as good. The movie definitely got better as the film went along, and I just loved how the film ended. I also loved how the film served as a commentary on horror remakes and how people got famous in the internet age. You might think that Scream 4 is a remake of the first Scream movie.
As for the acting, I thought Emma Roberts was wonderful as well as the old gang from the Scream trilogy of Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, & David Arquette. Hayden Panettiere was funny as the best friend.
I was disappointed on how this film is performing at the box office, and the theatre I attended have some empty seats. I think that's just plain sad.
Had this film is doing better at the box office, maybe there will be a new trilogy. Who knows? Any theories on why this movie is underperforming at the box office?
I enjoyed the mixture of horror & comedy of the movie and recommend you to see it.
Overall, I give this film a grade of an B.
